One benefit you can look forward to getting from the RAV4 is enhanced awareness. One way that this is made possible is with the available Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. The first part of this feature allows for safer lane changes by letting you know when a vehicle is occupying the blind spot zone. With the second aspect of this feature, you can more confidently back in and out of parking spots and driveways.
The Hill Start Assist Control is included as a standard piece of Toyota RAV4 equipment. It kicks into action when you’re stopped at a red light a part of the way up a steep hill by holding the brakes down long enough for you to move your foot from the brake to the gas pedal. This action prevents you from rolling backwards.
